Toytec superflex rear coils5/16/2023 ![]() I personally would never pay full price for TRD Pro wheels because I think its only for the looks not much functionality like with its narrow width 7in, tire manufacturers don't recommend mounting 285/70R17 tires on TRD Pro wheels. I'm a big fan of 285/70R17s because you get so many options from Load ratings to tire diameter even over 33" if you want. Load C option is very heavy even more than some of Load E options. I even ran at 32psi but did not help much. Most 275s are Load E options and my wife hated the on road firmness. I looked at (and used) 275/70R17 options in the past. I think if you go 2.5in front lift you should be able to clear 285/70R17 tires with minor plastic trimming. So when you add TRD Pro wheels $$$$$$.!!! Just for these items you are looking at over $4300. Tire install (including Roadforce balance) - $105 Bilstien5100 kit + Falken Wildpeak AT3 275s. Let me share how I look at rough pricing here in CO. Should I aim to do the 2" lift for longevity and better control, or the level kit for the same desire but a less expensive route? TL DR the 2" lift is a lot more than I thought it would be, and their quote for the tires are pretty high and they don't price match for cheaper tire or wheel options from other places. Total for mounting and balancing tires: $3,679 OEM TRD PRo wheels matte black $1,604.92 Toytec 521600-KIT- Toytec 3" lift front coil spring kit pair Toytec RCC2.0-P - Toytec Superflex Rear Coils Bilstein B8 5100 (ride height adjustable) shock absorber Suspension shock or strut R&R - rear (both) Supsension coil spring R&R - Front (both sides) No trimming to the body (maybe a few years down the road) I want to keep my 4Runner for 20 years! So far, I'm looking for this: I've shopped around and budgeted for $5k, and I want the job to be done with longevity in mind. I've ridden in my buddy's TRD and I love how it handles and how it has no nose dive compared to my stock suspension. That said, can you help me determine if I should do a 2" lift or just a level? I want to also eliminate the nose dive in my SR5 and have better handling and better looks. I want to occasionally do some light offroading, but nothing crazy enough that I couldn't do it even with my stock 4Runner. On the rear, I didn't do anything but I did rub the mud flap when flexed out.I want to lift my 2018 SR5, primarily just for looks (. I had to remove the mud flaps, move the front fender liner forward, trim the bumper, and also trim the rear part of the front fenderwell (behind the mud flap). Most of the rubbing will be on the front. I ran this tire on my 03 with 3.5" suspension lift and 1/2" body lift. To fit 285/70/17's you have to have either wheel spacers or aftermarket wheels, otherwise they will rub the UCA. I'm pretty sure it is intentionally off.it's done that way for max clearance between the coil and sway bar. I read page after page but didn't see specifics. I haven't disassembled the truck but wanted to know if it's intentionally offset or if I need to get spring compressors to fix it before install. The eyelet on the driver side shock is in line with the top spacer stud. Just received the toytec 3/2 bilstein/super flex fixed kit.įirst question. By the time you pay for OEM coils and any spacers, you're probably half way there. If you've got the funds, I really like the OME 884's/885's front and Toytec Superflex rear coils, but this will set you back between $300-$400. If that didn't work out, for the price I'd consider the Moog 4runner coils. Even though the 4runner Moog's haven't had the fitment issues (to my knowledge), OEM's are still better quality. Personally, I'd make sure I exhausted all options for OEM springs first (whether it be FJ's all around or a Tacoma/FJ combo). So would 5100/moog 4runner springs be a good combo for someone who is just interested in improving the ride and leveling the vehicle out? There's no issues or quality control problems with moog 4runner springs? If I wanted a slight lift I'm guessing all I would need to do is purchase a riser for the rear and adjust the front shocks accordingly ?Thanks I know I need to ditch my current ones because my front end looks like it's a lot lower and more of a rake than other stock 4runners I've driven past. I never thought about going with moog 4runner springs.
